The 03-200-8AT (tactile) is specified only for doors where building code or facility policy requires a tactile warning surface - typically doors to hazardous areas as required by IBC and ADAAG. The 03-200-ATH (standard) is specified for all other SFIC Athens lever applications throughout the building. NDE Series Exit Device Trim: What the 03-300-ATH Replacement Means

The current 03-200 prefix consolidation replaced both the 03-000 cylindrical/mortise lever and the 03-300 exit device lever with the single 03-200-ATH part number.

This matters for the NDE Series. The Schlage NDE is the electrified exit device with outside trim, combining a Von Duprin-style exit device body with a Schlage outside trim assembly.
