The Tubular lever in the Schlage ND and ALX Series SFIC family has two versions. The 03-200-TLR is the standard Tubular lever with a smooth round handle surface. The 03-200-8TR is the Tubular Tactile lever with a raised textured surface applied around the circumference of the round handle for hazardous area door identification per IBC and ADAAG requirements.

The 03-200-TLR is specified at all standard Tubular SFIC lever doors in the project. The 03-200-8TR is specified only at doors where building code or facility policy requires a tactile warning surface. Both versions use the identical Tubular round cylindrical profile and the same SFIC housing format. Finish and rose specifications are the same for both. When sourcing a replacement Tubular SFIC lever, confirm which version the installed door was specified with before ordering.

Service Manual Coverage and NDE Series Note

The 03-200-TLR is documented in four Schlage Service Manuals: ALX Series, ND Series, AD Series, and CO Series. The NDE Series Parts Manual is not among them. This applies to the standard TLR and the tactile 8TR equally. Both Tubular lever versions do not carry NDE exit device trim coverage.

This is a distinction from the Athens (03-200-ATH), Rhodes (03-200-RHO), and Sparta (03-200-SPA) standard levers, all of which are documented in five Service Manuals including the NDE Series. Rose Pairing, Finishes, and SFIC Core for the 03-200-TLR

The Tubular lever (TLR and 8TR) uses the 03-042-RHO (Rhodes Rose) as its inside/outside trim rose, confirmed in the official Schlage ALX Series Service Manual: "03-042 RHO inside/outside rose for all levers except Omega." The Tubular is in the group of lever designs that pair with the standard Rhodes Rose. When completing a full Tubular trim assembly using the 03-200-TLR, the 03-042-RHO rose in the matching finish is the correct rose to order separately.

Finishes are available across the standard nine-finish range. Finish must be specified at time of order. The SFIC core is not included with the 03-200-TLR. The core is ordered separately and installed by the facility's key system manager using the control key, without any lock removal or disassembly from the door.
