The Schlage 03-232-RHO is the OEM Rhodes FSIC Lever Less Core for the Schlage ALX Series, ND Series, NDE Series, CO Series, and AD Series cylindrical locks, documented in five official Schlage Service Manuals including the NDE Series. It is the standard non-tactile Rhodes lever in the 03-232 Full Size Interchangeable Core (FSIC) format. • 03-032-RHO: Original part number for cylindrical lock outside trim positions using the Rhodes FSIC lever.
• 09-332-RHO: Original part number for mortise lock trim applications. The 09 prefix identified mortise trim levers in the legacy Schlage system. Any specification or record referencing 09-332-RHO is currently serviced with the 03-232-RHO.
• 03-332-RHO: Original part number for exit device outside trim applications using the Rhodes FSIC lever. Any work order referencing 03-332-RHO is currently serviced with the 03-232-RHO.

All three installation types, cylindrical lock, mortise lock, and exit device, are now served by the 03-232-RHO as the single current OEM replacement part number.

Standard vs Tactile: 03-232-RHO vs 03-232-8RO

The 03-232-RHO and the 03-232-8RO (Tactile Rhodes FSIC Lever Less Core) are both Rhodes FSIC levers that ship less core. There are three important differences between them.

First, the handle surface. The 03-232-RHO has a smooth handle surface. The 03-232-8RO has a raised tactile surface for hazardous area door identification. Second, the Service Manual coverage. The 03-232-RHO is documented in five Service Manuals including the NDE Series. The 03-232-8RO is documented in only two Service Manuals, ALX and ND, and does not include the NDE Series. Third, the function coverage. Both levers cover the same Vandlgard and specialty ND functions. When replacing a standard Rhodes FSIC lever, confirm the original installation was not specified with a tactile designation before ordering the 03-232-RHO to avoid installing a non-tactile lever at a position that requires the tactile surface.

NDE Series Coverage and Full Compatibility

The 03-232-RHO is compatible with ALX Series, ND Series, NDE Series, CO-100, CO-200, CO-200/250, AD-200/250, AD-300, AD-400, and AD-993-DT Dummy Trim Exterior. The NDE Series inclusion reflects the original 03-332-RHO exit device application. NDE exit device installations that used a Rhodes FSIC outside lever and reference 03-332-RHO are currently serviced with the 03-232-RHO.
