The Schlage 03-233-OME is the OEM Omega Button Lever for the Schlage AD Series, ALX Series, CO Series, and ND Series cylindrical locks, documented in the official Schlage ALX Series and ND Series Service Manuals. It is the Omega lever profile in the 03-233 button lever format. The lever hub has a push button opening for the inside push button mechanism. Non-handed.

Omega Button Lever: No Tactile Variant in Any Format

The Schlage ND and ALX Series lever catalog offers tactile variants for Athens, Rhodes, Sparta, and Tubular designs across all lever format prefixes, including the 03-233 button lever family. The Omega design has no tactile variant in any format. There is no 8OME designation in the 03-233 button lever family or any other Schlage lever prefix family. The 03-233-OME is the only Omega button lever available and it has a standard smooth handle surface.

When a project uses Omega levers as its established standard and specific inside button lever positions require the tactile designation, the Omega design cannot satisfy that requirement. A different lever profile must be specified for those positions, or the Omega specification must be revised for those doors. The 03-233-ATH, 03-233-8RO, 03-233-8SP, and 03-233-8TR are the four tactile button levers available in the 03-233 family for positions requiring both the button format and the tactile designation.

03-042-OME Omega Rose: Required at Inside Trim Positions

The Omega lever is the only lever design in the Schlage ND and ALX Series catalog that uses a dedicated rose. The 03-042-OME (Omega Rose) is the correct inside and outside rose for the Omega lever at all trim positions, as confirmed in the official Schlage ALX Series Service Manual. The 03-042-RHO (Rhodes Rose), which is the correct rose for every other lever design in the catalog, does not fit the Omega lever hub correctly and must not be substituted at Omega lever positions.

When ordering a complete Omega Button Lever inside trim assembly using the 03-233-OME, the 03-042-OME rose must be ordered separately in the matching finish for the inside position. The same 03-042-OME rose is required at the outside trim position as well.
