The 03-233-RHO has a smooth handle surface. The 03-233-8RO has a raised tactile surface for hazardous area door identification. The 03-233-RHO is the correct selection for all standard Rhodes button lever positions. The 03-233-8RO applies only where the tactile designation was originally specified at that inside button lever position. When replacing an installed Rhodes button lever, confirm whether the original was specified as standard or tactile before ordering to prevent a non-compliant installation at that position.
