03-237-RHO vs 03-237-ATH: Rhodes vs Athens in the Medeco LFIC Format

The 03-237-RHO and the 03-237-ATH (Athens Lever, Medeco LFIC Prep) are both standard non-tactile levers in the 03-237 Medeco LFIC format. Both are In Stock at the same price, both ship less cylinder, and both are documented in five Service Manuals including NDE Series. The only difference is the lever profile. The 03-237-RHO uses the Rhodes design and the 03-237-ATH uses the Athens design. When a building uses Rhodes levers as its established standard and the installed core is a Medeco LFIC, the 03-237-RHO is the correct replacement.

Medeco LFIC: Why Standard Schlage Cylinders Cannot Be Substituted

Per the SecurityParts.com FAQ: "This lever is uniquely milled to fit the distinct physical shell dimensions, depth tolerances, and locking lug paths of a Medeco LFIC cylinder casing." This confirms that the 03-237-RHO housing is not compatible with standard Schlage KIL cylinders or Schlage full-size interchangeable cores. The lever bore is machined specifically for the Medeco LFIC physical profile. A compatible Medeco 6-pin LFIC (J-MED) core must be sourced separately and installed in the field. The core is not included with the 03-237-RHO.
