The 03-244-RHO is the standard non-tactile Rhodes Sargent KIL lever. The 03-244-8RO is the tactile version with knurled tactile grooves on the handle for ADA hazardous area identification. Both accept a Sargent conventional 6-pin KIL cylinder and ship less cylinder. Key differences: the 03-244-RHO has a smooth handle surface and is documented in five Service Manuals including NDE Series, while the 03-244-8RO has knurled grooves and is documented in four Service Manuals without NDE. The 03-244-RHO is confirmed In Stock. When replacing a standard Rhodes Sargent KIL lever, confirm the original did not specify the tactile designation before ordering.

Sargent KIL Format and Series Compatibility

Per the SecurityParts.com FAQ: "It is designed for a 6-pin Sargent Key-in-Lever (KIL) cylinder." The primary function is "Accommodates a Sargent conventional cylinder core for manual latch retraction." The lever bore is prepared for a Sargent conventional 6-pin KIL cylinder, which is distinct from standard Schlage KIL prep (03-231 prefix) and all interchangeable core formats. A compatible Sargent conventional 6-pin KIL cylinder must be sourced separately. The 03-244-RHO is compatible with AD Series, CO Series, ALX Series, ND Series, and NDE Series.
