The 03-255-RHO and the 03-255-ATH (Athens Lever, Yale 6-Pin FSIC Prep) are both standard non-tactile levers in the 03-255 Yale 6-pin FSIC J-YA6 format. Both are In Stock at the same price, both ship less core, and both are documented in five Service Manuals including NDE Series. The only difference is the lever profile design. The 03-255-RHO uses the Rhodes design and the 03-255-ATH uses the Athens design. When a building uses Rhodes levers as its established standard and the installed core is a Yale 6-pin FSIC (J-YA6), the 03-255-RHO is the correct replacement to maintain visual consistency.

Yale 6-Pin FSIC J-YA6: Unique Milling Requirement

Per the SecurityParts.com product page, the 03-255-RHO is "a genuine OEM Rhodes-style exterior replacement lever, less core, designed for compatible Schlage mechanical and electronic locksets configured for a Yale full-size interchangeable core (FSIC)." The lever housing is uniquely milled to accept the physical dimensions of the Yale FSIC casing. Standard Schlage security cores will not seat in this lever, and the 03-255-RHO cannot be used in installations requiring a Schlage FSIC (03-232 prefix) or Corbin Russwin FSIC (03-235 prefix). Confirm the installed core type before ordering. A compatible Yale 6-pin FSIC (J-YA6) core must be sourced separately.
