03-255-SPA vs 03-255-ATH and 03-255-RHO: Sparta Profile in the Yale FSIC Family

The 03-255-SPA, 03-255-ATH (Athens Lever), and 03-255-RHO (Rhodes Lever) are all standard non-tactile levers in the 03-255 Yale 6-pin FSIC J-YA6 format. All three are In Stock at the same price, ship less core, and are documented in five Service Manuals including NDE Series. The only difference is the lever profile design. The 03-255-SPA uses the Sparta design. When a building uses Sparta levers as its established standard and the installed core is a Yale 6-pin FSIC (J-YA6), the 03-255-SPA is the correct replacement. Yale FSIC Core Requirement and Unique Lever Milling

The 03-255-SPA lever housing is uniquely prepared for the Yale full-size interchangeable core physical dimensions. Standard Schlage security cores will not seat in this lever. The Yale 6-pin FSIC (J-YA6) core must be sourced separately and installed in the field. The 03-255 format is distinct from the 03-232 Schlage FSIC format, the 03-235 Corbin Russwin FSIC format, and the 03-236 Yale 7-pin FSIC format. Confirm the installed core type before ordering.
