What the Lever Return Spring Does

The lever return spring is an internal component of the Falcon M Series mortise lock lever trim assembly. Its function is to return the lever handle to its neutral horizontal position after the user releases the lever following operation. When the lever return spring fails or loses tension, the lever may droop, fail to return to the horizontal position after operation, or produce inconsistent lever action.
